    Job details
  • Travel/Contract position
  • 8 Week Assignment
  • No Holiday RTO - Must be willing to work the Holidays: Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, & New Years Day
  • Guaranteed Hours: Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
    Job requirements
  • Years of experience REQ: at least 2 years Critical Care Exp
  • First-timers accepted: No
  • Experience Required: RRT Adult critical care experience
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? Approval prior to assignment, but not guaranteed
  • Radius rule? Yes, 60 miles. Are locals accepted? Yes, on a case-by-case basis
  • Pending State License accepted: RRT SC license must be in hand at time of start
  • RTO Restrictions: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on manager/units needs.
    Schedule information
  • Shift: Will work 3x12hr shifts 7p-7:30a with holidays required
  • Weekend REQ: Every other weekend
  • Is on-call REQ? No

  • Position/Specialty: Adult RRT- Ashley River Tower
  • Patient Population: MUSC Ashley River Tower has nearly 200 beds, including 2 ICUs, 2 step-down floors, 4 general acute care floors, and a 21-bed emergency department.
  • Cardiovascular ICU- 21 beds
  • Postop Cardiac, Thoracic, & Complex Vascular Surgery Patients
  • Heart & Lung Transplant, Durable LVAD
  • Temporary Mechanical Circulatory Support
  • ECMO, IABP, & Impella
  • Complex Cardiology Patient
  • Post Cardiac arrest, Acute Myocardial Infarction, Decompensated Heart Failure
  • Medical-Surgical ICU- 18 beds
  • Mix Medical & Abdominal Surgical Patients
  • ARDS, Septic Shock, Hematologic & Oncologic Emergencies
  • GI Hemorrhage, Pulmonary Hypertension, Perforated Viscous
    Additional Details
  • Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
