Job details

13-week temporary Physical Therapist position
Part of a team providing various physical therapy services, including specialized services and unique treatment programs
One-on-One/Hands on Physical Therapy
Sports Medicine, Orthopedic and Post Surgical Rehabilitation
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
Dry Needling
Modalities including Iontophoresis, Electrical Stimulation, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Taping, and Cupping
Therapeutic Exercise
Biomechanical Evaluation for Orthotics
Safe Sports™ programs, free injury screenings, and sports-related education
Safework™ services including work site assessments, work conditioning, and injury management
Balance/Fall Prevention/Vestibular Rehab
EMR: Some training during orientation
Patient Appointments are 45 minutes

Job requirements

3+ years current experience
Ortho experience
Preference given to candidates with previous traveler experience
Work History
Skills Checklist relevant to position, current to 1 year
1 Supervisory Signed Reference within the last two years
Licenses/Certifications: NH license, BLS - Must be uploaded with profile

Schedule information

Requested time off must be noted and verified at profile upload
No more than 5 days of Requested Time Off will be accepted
Non-billable orientation: 8 hours

Additional Details

Traveler cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility
Include permanent address at profile upload to avoid delays in processing

Cons

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
