Job details

Registered Nurse (RN) position available at Speare Memorial Hospital in historic Plymouth, NH. The area is located between the White Mountains and the Lakes Region, offering spectacular scenery, recreation areas, cultural activities, and great shopping and dining.

Job requirements

2+ years of CURRENT ICU experience
Recent experience with high acuity MS/Tele patient
Prior travel experience (Preferred)
BSN (Preferred)
Work History
Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)

Schedule information

13-week contract
No more than 5 days of requested time off accepted (less is better)
No requested time off can be approved for October at this time
Nonbillable Orientation: 8 hours

Unit specific information

ICU level nurse to patient ratio is 2:1
For bed management purposes could have MNS level patients and a higher ratio
Supervisor in-house could assist until the on-call nurse arrives
Patient population includes high acuity MSN/Tele; could receive a vent or critical patient and then transfer out
EMR: Cerner
Scrubs of any color

Additional Details

Supports organizational efforts to continuously improve patient satisfaction scores
Treats co-workers with courtesy and respect
Actively works to strengthen interdepartmental relationships
Provides comfort to patients and families

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
