Job details

General job duties include acute care RN for patients undergoing Cardiovascular services, surgical services.

Job requirements

Minimum 1 year PCU experience
EKG knowledge skills - IV Cardiac Medication administration
Peritoneal Dialysis, Chronic Vents, Chest Tubes, Epidural Catheters, PCA pumps, Transvenous pacing, Arterial or Venous Sheath pulling/care

Schedule information

7A-7P or 7P-7A 12 hour shifts days or nights
3 shifts per week required
Upon discussion, we may allow scheduling of 4 shifts per week at regular rates if the candidate prefers

Equipment utilized in the unit includes Philips Cardiac Monitors, Tele, Welch Allyn Vital Signs Monitors, Invasive monitoring
Medtronic Pacemakers
Cerner EMR
Pyxis Med dispenser
Zoll R series, Sigma Spectrum IV pumps, Mistral Air Warming units
Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept: 14
Nurse to patient ratio of this unit: 1RN to 3-4 PCU patients depending on acuity
Dress Code: Scrubs, no black/camo, Business appropriate hair color

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
