  • Position/Specialty: MedSurg Ortho/Neuro RN. Shift: 3x12s, Nights 7p-7a. Ratios: 1:6-7. Weekend REQ (Y/N): Yes, every other weekend requirement of at least Sat and Sun. Will this traveler need to float within scope to meet facility needs/float between like units/sister facilities (Y/N)? Yes. Years of experience REQ: Prefer experience, 2 years. First-time travelers accepted: Yes, willing to review applicants on an individual case scenario depending on experience for individuals who have not traveled before. Skills Preferred: The department focuses on med/surg patients. Ortho/Neuro experience preferred.
    Job requirements
  • License REQ: SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start. Certifications REQ: BLS. Open to accommodating block schedule? (Y/N): Approval can be requested prior to assignment, but not guaranteed. Local Radius: 60 miles. Locals Accepted: (Y/N): No locals accepted. RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs. Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
