Job details

Responsible for the delivery of respiratory therapy and patient care following physician’s orders, hospital policies and procedures; and departmental standards of care and standards of practice. Performs therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures. Evaluates patient/resident response to respiratory therapy and takes appropriate corrective action. Provides education to patients and staff regarding respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions. Performs routine maintenance and service checks on equipment. Maintains records, reports, and other documentation related to the work.

Job requirements

2+ years of experience - Required
Ventilator, Bipap, ICU, ER, and ABG trained therapist - Required

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
