BLS certification must be uploaded with profile.

Job details

Certified Surgical Tech (CST) needed at Berkshire Medical Center, Massachusetts.
COVID vaccination required for this health system as of date on or after 10/3/23.
Exemption forms are available, and those approved will wear a mask at all times.

Job requirements

At least three years (3) of current CST experience is required.
NBSTSA certification is required; equivalent certs (NCCT) not accepted.
Must be willing to take call.
Work history, skills checklist, and supervisory references must be current within one year.
NBSTSA, BLS certifications must be uploaded with profile.

Schedule information

Must be willing to work two of the following dates: Thanksgiving and weekend after, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and weekend after, New Year Eve/New Year Day and weekend after.
Requested time off during the assignment must be noted at upload, with no more than 5 days of RTO being accepted.
SHIFT ACCOMMODATION REQUESTS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS NEED (block schedule).

Unit Size: 8 beds
Dress Code: Facility-Provided Scrubs

Additional Details

FLU DECLINATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED BY THIS CLIENT.
No 'local' travelers considered (residing within 50 miles of the facility).
Do not upload travelers to this need who will not take call.
Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
