  • Looking for Pediatric RN who is able to take an assignment in the PICU (continuous nebs, bipap, DKA on insulin drip etc..) must also be able to take an assignment on the general Peds floor managing 3-4 patients as we do not always have patients in the PICU.
  • Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) EPIC
  • Must be able to take patients in the PICU and on the general pediatric floor.
  • Travelers will typically get a couple of orientation shifts.
    Job requirements
  • Pediatric RN required.
  • Must be able to take patients in the PICU and on the general pediatric floor.
    Schedule information
  • 12 hour night shifts (1830-0700) working every other weekend
    Unit specific information
  • Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 17 beds
  • Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) Patients in the PICU are 1:1 or 1:2, patients on the general peds floor are 1:3 or 1:4
  • Dress Code: Navy scrubs (may wear a child friendly colorful scrub top)

  • Willing to float: NICU to take grower/feeder assignment. OB to be helping hands. Float to sit with 1:1’s (for safety and or suicide) if low census

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
