Job details

Position / Specialty: Nursery RN
Shift: Will accept 3x12s or 4x12s-6:45p-7:15a
Holiday rotation
Ratios: 1:3
Weekend REQ: Every other weekend as needed

Job requirements

2+ years experience with routine newborn care, ability to attend deliveries and resuscitate infants at delivery
2+ years’ experience with level 2 babies (premature deliveries, 32 weeks and above)
First-timers: NO
SC or Multi State/Compact RN license
Experience in resuscitating newborn at delivery and stabilizing premature newborn for transfer to higher level of care
Floating is required to sister units

Schedule information

Shift: 3x12s or 4x12s-6:45p-7:15a
On-call: Yes, 2 on-call shifts every 6 weeks for those working 3x12s
Weekend REQ: Every other weekend as needed
Open to accommodating block schedule? Requires managers approval upon request

Unit specific information

Position / Specialty: Nursery RN
As the nursery RN, they will be expected to catch and transition babies in L&D within the 1st 2-3 hours of life
Expected to float to Mom-Baby where they could take a newborn assignment

Local Radius: 60 miles
Locals Accepted: Yes, locals will be considered at 10% less than the posted rate
Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
