Job details

Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implements and monitors patient care plans.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

Job requirements

Must be AHA BLS certified.
Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.

Additional Details

Exam and answer key found in Document Library; agency is required to give and grade the test.
Score needs to be 90% or higher with only 2 attempts.
Onboarding includes Ascension Core Competencies, EKG Exam, and Nova StatStrip instructions.
Vaccination requirements detailed; exemptions not accepted in specific areas.
Ascension Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding completed onsite.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
