Job details

A large hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced Cath Lab RNs for a travel assignment.
The right candidate will have 2 years of experience and hold an active ACLS, BLS and AZ license or compact.
- Unit: Cath Lab
- Certs: BLS, ACLS. AZ license
- Cases: 10-25 cases per day. Circulating, no Scrub
- EMR: Cerner and Xper
- Charge Nurse: Yes
- Nurse Aides: Rad techs - Circulating and Scrub, Certified. Cover Endo and CVOR.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Interventional, EP lab, peripherals, EP - cardiology and vascular, mitro clip, TAVR, IABP and Emtala placement.
- Additional Notes: Use Phillips and Siemens equipment.
- Floor specific orientation: 2 days on job.

Job requirements

Cath Lab experience needed: 2 years
Active ACLS certification required
Active BLS certification required
AZ license or compact license required
RN- Az License, BLS and ACLS Required
Tech- Az ARRT and MRTBE Required, BLS and ACLS
RNs circulate, Techs must be able to scrub.

Schedule information

3, 12 hour shifts 6 am-6:30 pm plus call.
Call -varied 6 to 10 shifts per schedule (30 minute response time required)
- Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 6-630, M-F.
- Call: 8-12 days a month depending on the month
- Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule
- Holidays: Work into rotation.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
