Certification details
- LEVEL I TRAUMA EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes. The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining sterile field.
Job details
- 2 years ICU experience required.
- Must have experience in 600+ bed teaching facility.
Job requirements
- 12 hour shifts 7-7
- 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks
- Work in with core staff rotation
Schedule information
- MICU, SICU, TICU - total of 120 beds
- Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:1-2
- RNs required to read and interpret their own strips
- Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 shifts on the floor
Unit specific information
- Travelers will be required to float amongst all ICU areas, as well as any MedSurg/Tele units.
- Travelers must understand that they will be floated and will not have an opportunity to refuse floating.
- ICU Travelers may also be asked to float to St. Joseph Westgate campus.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
