Job details

A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.

Job requirements

The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DRIPS!!
Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.
There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions).
If traveler fails Sim, they will be sent home and made a DNU

Schedule information

Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4 week period (days - Sat, Sun, nights - Fri, Sat). One major and minor holiday.

Unit specific information

Unit specifics like ratios, scrub color, shift details, and tech support are detailed in the Additional Notes.
Floating would include between Chandler & Mercy Gilbert campuses.

Additional Details

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS;Auto Offer off of Prescreen
Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.
There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
