    Certification details
  • ASCENTION Skills Checklist and Specialty Exam completed.
  • NIH Certification required.
  • Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen required.
  • Ascension Badge Photo.
    Job details
  • 2 years experience required in specialty area.
  • RN's may take an assignment in SICU, MICU, NTICU, and SD.
  • This is a float assignment with daily staffing adjustments every 4 hrs, with potential to be pulled to a new assignment in 4hr blocks of time.
  • Will need basic dysrhythmia testing competency.
    Job requirements
  • Must be AHA BLS and ACLS certified.
  • Nursing only Michigan hospitals need their licensure verified through LARA not NURSYs.
  • Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals.
  • Vaccines or Positive IGG Titer.
  • Required for all disciplines, Annual Fit Test.
  • Hepatitis B vaccination documentation.
  • Influenza Vaccine required.
  • 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) within 1 year, or Negative IGRA within 90 days of offered start date.
  • Varicella immunity proof required.
  • Tdap valid for 10 years from the administered date.
    Schedule information
  • This is a float assignment with daily staffing adjustments every 4 hrs, with potential to be pulled to a new assignment in 4hr blocks of time.
    Unit specific information
  • Optional Ascension Unit Specific Checklist for Onboarding.
  • Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation required.
    Additional Details
  • Flu season starts Sept 4th, 2023 for all new travelers.
  • Exemptions are NOT accepted for persons working in certain areas: Potential contact with pediatrics/infants, non-immune pregnant women (L&D areas), non-immune immunosuppressed patients (oncology, transplant, etc.).
  • Clinical only; Required annually in specialty.
  • Ascension Education Verification needs to be validated at the source level.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
