Job details

A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool. The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience.

Job requirements

Travelers must be able to titrate drips.
Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.

Schedule information

Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
Floating to different units mid-shift can happen.
Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start.

Unit specific information

Unit: CV Tele B3A, A3 Neuro, MedSurg C5, MedSurg B2C
Unit Details: Various numbers of beds and patient ratios.
Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS for A3 Neuro unit only.
Charge Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, and Techs availability vary by unit.
Floor-specific orientation typically lasts 2 shifts on the floor.

Additional Details

COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
