Registered Nurse (RN) at McLaren Northern Michigan serving residents in 22 counties across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern part of the Upper Peninsula. Responsible for full-service care with an emphasis on cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences.

Job requirements

1+ year of experience.
Travel capability.
EKG comfortability.
Willingness to float to similar units.

Schedule information

Contract length: 13.0 weeks.

Additional Details

McLaren Northern has a strict 3 strike attendance policy.
Michigan license verification required (LARA and Nursys).
Full-time employees of McLaren not eligible for hire within six months of prior employment.

My review isn’t about the recruiter at all. The position for Rochester, NY psychiatry, I don’t recommend this position. It turns into 60 hours of straight pay, they take advantage of their travelers, no weekends off, 5-6 days a week depending on when they want to put you on call. They schedule you 5 days a week to tell you it’s only 4 however your agency will pay you for the 60 hours, which isn’t what anyone signs up for. They don’t tell you that you have to work 60 hours of on call until you get there. You will work 5-6 days a week here.
