Description
Job Title :: CNOR RN Perform Perioperative Nursing Duties: Apply the nursing process in direct patient care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for surgical patients. Patient Safety and Advocacy: Ensure patients have a safe intraoperative period from general, regional, or local anesthesia. Act as a patient advocate while the patient is under anesthesia or sedation. Accurate Patient Assessment: Provide accurate and ongoing patient assessment, maintaining quality care for patients undergoing surgery. Surgical Preparation and Monitoring: Account for sponges, needles, instruments, and sharps during the intraoperative phase. Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and instrumentation are available and used correctly. Collaboration and Compliance: Work closely with the surgical team, participate in unit or hospital-based committees, and adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated CNOR RN to join our team in Lancaster, California. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. This role involves performing perioperative nursing duties, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the surgical team to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Requirements:
- Education: Completion of an accredited Perioperative Nursing Course is desirable. National certification such as Certified Nursing in Operating Room (CNOR) is desirable.
- Experience: Must have 2 years of relevant cardiovascular OR experience and 1 year of travel experience.
- Skills: Proficient in surgical asepsis and sterile technique, knowledgeable in the use of surgical equipment and instrumentation, and competent in new technologies related to surgical procedures.
- Abilities: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and supervise care provided by others.
- Work Hours: Days - varied, GWW40 4 10's
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Comments: Weekday/weekend and holiday call and rotation (14 call minimum)
