Description

facility. NO LOCAL TRAVELERS - 75 MILE STRAIGHT LINE RADIUS RULE (not driving distance) Please only submit candidates with an active NM or
compact license. Time off requests must be disclosed with initial submission to
be considered for approval; time off requested after acceptance date will not
be approved.
2 years experience current in Med-Surg
unit required. Must be a team player, flexible and accustomed to fast-paced
environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-wek assignment.
When submitting candidates, include at least two references (one must be from
current manager), a resumé, and completed skills checklist/competency assessment.
CERTS: BLS certification required.
BLS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and
Safety Institute or American Red Cross. EPIC EMR experience preferred.
SHIFTS: 12-hour varied shift
position. Start time 0700 or 1900. Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing
needs. On call, weekends and holidays may be required. Travelers are first to float
within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent
assigned location. Will float to ED to care for admitted patients holding for
bed or as Helping Hands. Traveling pairs are not guaranteed same schedules or
same shifts. Ratios 1:4, but will go to 1:5, if needed.
ORIENTATION: 1st
week of contract, not to exceed 40 total hours and includes Epic training.

NO HOLIDAY RTO WILL BE APPROVED FOR TRAVELERS (updated 10.10.2024) 1. Travelers must not have been an employee of the *** system for 12 months from last day worked, in order to be considered for a travel position.
2. Travelers are first to float within facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of permanent assigned location. 3. State tax is passed through to your agency and will be reflected on your invoice. The state tax should be paid to the state of New Mexico. 4. ENSURE AN ACCURATE SS# and DOB IS ENTERED. IF NOT, TRAVELER MAY BE PUSHED/AGENCY SUSPENED (creates I.T. onboarding issues).
