Job Description:

MUST HAVE ALL COVID VACCINATION SERIES INCLUDING AT LEAST 1 BOOSTER

MUST HAVE ACTIVE ALASKA LICENSE AT TIME OF SUBMISSION

Accountabilities

1.      Provide clinical services, including working with providers, clinicstaff and management to ensure excellent quality of care and services,efficient utilization of resources and the compliance with SEARHCstandards. 

2.      Will provide leadership and direction to the clinic staff ensuringefficient operation of all aspects of the clinic to include the front desk andpatient care to all patients.

3.      Will maintain medication inventory and supplies not on the Warehouse PARsystem.

4.      Will ensure that the necessary quality control checks are done with thePoint of Care tests.

5.      Will clearly and correctly document all care and services provided inthe clinic, completing nurse duties professionally and in a timely manner. 

6.      Will oversee the opening and closing of the clinics.

7.      Will clearly and correctly document all care and services provided,completing nurse duties professionally and in a timely manner.

8.      Will assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating the needsof these individuals to ensure efficient and quality patient care. 

9.      Will communicate effectively with other departments to be an effectiveresource for their patients, providers and fellow clinic staff. 

Position Complexities 

Maintains skill sets, annual competencies,certifications, and participates in in-services and educational programs withinthe Clinic, hospital, and/or community as assigned; completes all mandatorytraining; attends and participates in staff meetings; adheres to infectioncontrol policy and procedures. Maintains a clean and safe workingenvironment including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment,reporting any defective or missing equipment and safety hazards; refers un-resolved problems withpatients/coworkers/visitors to department manager or administrative manager forresolution; addresses employee concerns consistent with Human Resources Policy.

Position Qualifications

Education

·        Education necessary to obtain RN License

Licenseand Certifications:

·        Active, unrestricted RN licensure, Alaska licensure

·        Basic Life Support certification

Experience:

·        1 year acute care experience preferred

·         6 months addiction servicesexperience preferred

Knowledge,Skills & Abilities:

Knowledgeof:

·        Nursing process and the ability to apply this in the working environment

·        Customer service principles

·        Safety and infection control principles

Skilledin:

·        Completing assessments, anticipation of needs, and specimen collection

·        Use of equipment such as computers and medical equipment

·        Effective oral and written communications skills

Abilityto:

·        Multi-task and work independently in fast paced environment

·        Team-player

·        Willing to teach when appropriate

·        Problem-solve and use critical thinking skills to develop and maintaingood working relations with other staff and departments
