Job Description:
As a Travel L&D RN in our Float Pool, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to laboring and postpartum patients across various locations within our network. You will float between different units and facilities, ensuring flexibility and adaptability while maintaining the highest standards of care. This position requires a strong clinical background in labor and delivery, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle diverse situations with professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care to laboring and postpartum patients, including monitoring fetal heart rates, managing labor progress, and assisting with deliveries.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float between various units and facilities as needed, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in different clinical settings.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility protocols.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to ensure patient safety.
• Participate in continuous education and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in obstetric care.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required

Department Specific License/Certifications:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Healthstream Advanced Cardiac Life Support (HS-ACLS) or RQIACLS: Required
• Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP): Required
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required
• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM): Required
• Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN): Required
