American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking an RN to join our team of mental health professionals in Staunton, VA. This facility is a state psychiatric hospital with a mix of forensic psychiatric and developmentally disabled patients. This facility takes pride in setting its contractors up for success and has a 3-4 week orientation that occurs Monday-Friday 8a-5p. Clinician's must be available for the entirety of orientation.

• Pay Rate: $2,162 - $2,362 per week per hour
• Schedule: 11a to 11:30p, Every other weekend, Holidays as needed
• Available Shift: 2 12’s and 2 8’s (Shift Times: 3p-11:30p & 11a-11:30p), 4 shifts per week
• Start Date: 10/10/2024
• Located In: Staunton, VA
• Requirements: Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 year of experience, preferably in a Psychiatric, Corrections or Accute setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain [STATE] licensure.

• Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
• Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
• Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
• Consulting with psychiatrists and other health professionals to design treatment plans
• Practicing crisis intervention and stabilization
• Teaching patients and their families about their condition and how to manage it
• Assisting in maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients and staff
• Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely

In this role, you'll work with a variety of patients, each facing different mental health conditions and behavioral challenges.
