Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Surgical Tech (Organ Transplant) to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
Coordinate, plan, organize, and staff the procurement of tissues and the perfusion of organs.
Provide 24/7 on-call coverage on a rotational basis with full-time and per diem staff, while offering on-site clinical supervision, guidance, and training.
Complete all paperwork and provide feedback on case-related issues to the Administrator on Call.
Evaluate potential tissue donors according to established criteria.
Respond to requests from the organ procurement surgeon during the organ procurement process.
Ensure that the Tissue Procurement and Organ Perfusion Services department adheres to quality standards and complies with legal regulations.
Oversee the tissue procurement team, ensuring the procurement, packaging, labeling, and shipping of tissues are completed accurately.
Provide feedback to the Director of Clinical Services when corrective action is required.
Ensure pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative expertise and assistance are available to staff.
Regularly check all clinical equipment (e.g., refrigerators, temperature monitors) to ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
Maintain and order clinical supplies as needed.
Oversee the completion of case records, forms, and letters as required.
