Description

Title: Registered Nurse – PCU
Location: Louisville, KY
Contract Length: 13-weeks
Local or travel: Travel, but open to local
Shift: 6:45pm-7:15am
Responsibilities / Details:
• Academic Medical Center in downtown Louisville
• New Heart Hospital with advanced heart care treatment
• Accredited chest pain center providing comprehensive 24/7 STEMI heart attack care and treatment
• The first in Kentucky to receive the Chest Pain Center Primary PCI and Resuscitation Accreditation from the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care (SCPC), an Institute of the American College of Cardiology.
• Noted for numerous medical firsts in Kentucky, the nation and the world, Jewish Hospital is the site of the nation's first four-hand transplants, first kidney transplant in 1964, the first open-heart surgery in 1965, the first heart transplant in 1984, and the first-hand transplant in 1999.
• The world's first and second successful AbioCor™ Implantable Replacement Heart transplant, and more recently, the nation's second and third CARMAT Aeson® total artificial heart transplants - one of which was the world's first successful transplant ever performed in a female patient
• The first trial of adult cardiac stem cells in chronic heart failure
• Trager Transplant Center is among a select group of hospitals nationwide approved by Medicare to perform heart, lung, liver, kidney, living donor kidney, pancreas, and vascularized composite allograft (hand) transplants.
• Provides acute inpatient and outpatient rehab services through UofL Health - Frazier Rehab Institute
• As the lead center in the nation for the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation Neuro Recovery Network, Frazier offers spinal cord patients access to leading-edge therapies, including Locomotor Training
• Frazier’s Movement Disorders Program, in conjunction with the University of Louisville, has been recognized as a National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence
Experience:
• 2+ years PCU RN
• RN license, BCLS
