PeaceHealth is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer - Echocardiology for a Non Employee-Nurse, Resp Therapy, Clinical Support, 1.00 FTE, Day position. We will not accept auto offers and call requirement is on an "as needed" basis.
Cardiac Sonographer - Traveler will be working in Echocardiology DeptShift: 5x8 variable days and occasional weekends. Shifts can start from 6 am - 9 am so 6-1430, , 7-1530 etc.Years of Experience REQ: 1 yr required, 2 years preferred. Additional skills could be preliminary reporting using Xcelera and/or Fuji Synapse.Most Common disciplines used: Echo IP & OPEpic Experience REQ: 1 year preferredCerts REQ: BLS and RDCS or RCSFirst-Timers Accepted: YesWeekend REQ: Yes, most likely every 3rd weekendWill the clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Yes - inpatient and outpatient echoes will be performed, all in the same facilityTop 10 Procedures/Scans: Echo - TTE, SE, TEEMost Common Equipment: Philips EpiqNumber of Scans/Procedures per day: 7 in an 8 hour shift

Job Summary:Responsible for performing diagnostic and special procedures ultrasonography in accordance with established policies and procedures. Must use independent judgment in applying knowledge of clinical cardiology, acoustic imaging technology, and problem-solving skills to optimize the echocardiographic evaluation, tailoring and expanding the exam to ensure comprehensiveness and diagnostic accuracy. Essential Functions Performs prescribed ultrasound procedures using a variety of equipment to get preliminary echocardiographic measurements. Must be competent at the performance of adult echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and contrast studies.
