Key Responsibilities of the Neuro Interventional Radiology Technologist:

A Neuro Interventional Radiology Technologist plays a critical role in assisting with minimally invasive procedures that diagnose and treat neurological conditions, such as strokes, aneurysms, and other vascular abnormalities. Key responsibilities include:

Operate fluoroscopy, angiography, and other advanced imaging equipment during neurovascular procedures.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide immediate assistance if complications arise.
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure proper function.
Follow radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and themselves..
Set up sterile trays and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
Handle and prepare catheters, guidewires, and other neuro-interventional tools.
Ensure proper stocking and organization of necessary supplies.
Record procedure details, patient data, and imaging results in electronic medical records (EMR).

Requirements of the Neuro Interventional Radiology Technologist:

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

BLS Certification
ARRT Certification
NY License
Must have NEURO experience
2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Working for Seven Healthcare:
