Key Responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist:

As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Your role will include:

Perform Procedures: Assist in various interventional radiology procedures such as angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainages, stent placements, and venous access.
Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are prepared for their procedures, providing comfort and explaining the process to ease anxiety.
Imaging Equipment Operation: Operate imaging equipment, helping physicians obtain clear diagnostic images.
Administer Contrast Agents: Follow established protocols to administer contrast agents and medications as needed for optimal imaging results.
Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Work alongside physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, documenting procedures, patient information, and any relevant data.
Compliance and Quality Control: Follow all hospital policies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.

Requirements of the Interventional Radiology Technologist:

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

BLS Certification
ARRT Certification
NY License
