Key Responsibilities of the EP Lab Technologist
As an EP Lab Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
Procedural Support: Assist electrophysiologists with procedures such as ablations, pacemaker and ICD implantations, and cardiac mapping.
Equipment Operation: Operate specialised EP lab equipment, including recording systems, 3D mapping systems, and defibrillators, ensuring optimal performance.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for EP procedures, ensuring proper positioning and providing clear explanations to alleviate anxiety.
Monitoring: Monitor patients during procedures, recording data and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout.
Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures, including equipment settings, patient data, and outcomes.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a secure environment for both patients and staff.

BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
RCIS Certification 2+ years of experience in an EP and a cardiac cath lab setting.
