Title: Cardiovascular Tech
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: 40hrs/ week Starts Vary (start 7,8,or 9am – 3:30,4:30, or 5:30pm)
Requirements: 2+ years experience in Cardiac Cath Lab | Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program | Working with the providers for all Cardiac cases involving the heart. Including, but not limited to: R/LHC, PCI,s EMBX, CTO /CHIP procedures, ASD / PFO procedures, structural heart (TAVRS / Mitral Clips, TMVRS), etc. Must be able to wear lead, work as a team, and display professional behavior in a sometimes-stressful environment. Must be flexible in a patient centric environment. Patient care is always our priority.

Job Summary:
Prepares for and assists physician in all procedures done in the Cardiovascular Lab. Other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:
-Supports the policies and procedures of FMLH and division of patient care services with a special emphasis placed on the needs of the patient undergoing invasive testing in the Cardiac Cath and Electrophysiology Labs.
-Collects, documents, records and calculates pertinent patient data.
-Assist physician with all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
-Prepares and instructs patients pre and post procedure. Developing communication skills with all customers internal and external.
-Performs basic radiologic functions including acquiring, processing, and storing digital images, basic equipment troubleshooting and radiation safety. Able to complete Safety Event reports for advanced exposure.
-Under the direct supervision of MD: Synchronous/asynchronous defibrillation; medication preparation including accurate labeling contents within syringes.
-Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment & sterile field.
-Familiar with basic diagnostic and procedural supplies along with location within the procedure rooms, core room and carts.
-Accurate scanning of Space Trax for supplies.

Required Education:
-High School diploma or equivalent.
-Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist program.
OR
-Two (2) years of field experience as an allied Health professional such as CVT, Radiology Tech, Anesthesia Tech, or Paramedic.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
-American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS).
