Job Summary

As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will work as a licensed professional and use the nursing practice model to oversee patient care by the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will involve assessing patients, identifying nursing diagnoses for health issues, and developing personalized care plans. You will also assess patient responses regularly. Your contributions will help patients navigate healthcare safely by understanding their needs and the healthcare system. This will prevent complications and delays. Delegating tasks to other staff will be based on Texas nursing laws, patient conditions, and staff skills.

What You'll Do

As a Procedural Registered Nurse, your main focus is to use careful clinical judgement. You'll assess patients and prioritize their needs. You'll also create and adjust care plans for better results.
You will assess your nursing practices to ensure quality and effectiveness. This may involve tracking indicators, making changes based on research, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
You'll help teach patients and staff. Education will be integrated into care at all levels.
In systems thinking, you will use strategies and resources to solve problems for patients, families, and staff.
Finally, your professionalism enhances nursing practice and work environment. Contribute to decision-making, recognize others' contributions meaningfully.

Having an in-depth understanding of nursing as well as patient care standards and procedures is crucial.
Understanding legal, regulatory, and professional standards, as well as certification and accreditation requirements, is important in every profession. Familiarity with departmental policies is also vital.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are of utmost importance.
A knack for addressing problems with critical thinking is essential.
It is necessary to monitor patients' health and communicate changes efficiently to nursing staff and healthcare providers.
Lastly, giving top-notch, patient-centered care that honors patient diversity is essential. It involves using the nursing process and following nursing standards.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse must have 2+ years of RN experience, PACU or OR experience strongly preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
