Position: RN Cardiovascular ICU
Location: The Baylor Heart Hospital Denton - 2801 S Mayhill Rd, Denton TX 76208
Patient Population: All things CV from STEMI to LVAD implantation, Cardiogenic shock, AAA, CABG, Valve, TAVR, Devices include TPW, IABO, Impella, TTM, lumbar drain and CRRT.
Hours: FT Staff / Night Shift / 3/12’s per week / 7pm-7am
CUB Unit: 1st Floor, 22 beds, 24-hour unit
Required Experience: Candidates MUST have minimum (1) one year (prefer 2+ years) of recent, full time bedside Cardiovascular ICU/CVICU or Cardiovascular PCU.
Patient Ratios: Tele 4:1/PCU 3:1/ICU 2:1/CVICU 1:1

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses.
What You'll Do
You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes.
Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues.
You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly.
Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
You'll use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff. Recognize limitations and prioritize safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
Achieve goals through teamwork, recognize contributions, commit to growth. Contribute to peers' development, show community service commitment.
