Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an Operating Room First Assistant Registered Nurse. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a surgical environment. Under the supervision of the director/manager or designee, the Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) provides holistic, individualized patient care in response to identified needs. Additional funtions will be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice Ace in a manner consistent with the mission of the hospital. The RNFA will be assisting in the intraoperative phase including draping, suturing, clamping, endoscopic and open vein harvesting.

What qualifications you will need:

• BSN/MSN Preferred
• Texas State RN License or compact License
• Completion of an accredited course in RN First Assistant including didactic and preceptor training
• CRNFA required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
