Job Summary and QualificationsAt Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, our Clinical Support Coordinators support high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Clinical Support team works with multiple units and provides guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.
- You will perform rounds on each nursing unit, continuously observing, assessing the quality of patient care, and identifying nursing educational needs
- Our nurses utilize skills of observation, provide feedback on nursing assessments, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
- You must track requests to identify the most commonly requested skills for purposes of enhancing orientation & education
- You will attend rapid responses and codes as needed, to observe, provide feedback, and debrief, facilitate education, direction, coaching before, during and after the rapid response or code as indicated
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Required: 2+ years’ experience as a RN
- Required: Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Required: Current BLS & ACLS certification
- Preferred: 1+ years’ experience in a leadership role and 1+ years’ experience as a preceptor
