Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Promotes the professional development of nursing staff in collaboration with the Administrative team. Provides clinical and management direction to clinical educators. Evaluates professional practice systems (standards, policies, procedures, documentation, staff orientation, education, training, and development competency systems) to enhance patient care delivery and comply with internal and external regulatory agencies.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
  • Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
  • Collaborates with nursing management colleagues on hiring, supervising and evaluating department staff.
  • Provides and develops educational programs in alignment with organizational goals and customer needs. Prioritizes educational needs of patient care staff based on needs assessments, organizational goals and budgetary allowances.
  • Manages a quality improvement process to support exceptional clinical outcomes.
  • Oversees implementation of clinical information systems for Nursing Services.
  • Provides expert consultation regarding nursing sensitive indicators.
