BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time School Behavioral Health Therapist (all year round) at Confluence Preparatory Academy

 

Are you an experienced therapist that enjoys working with diverse patients? Join BJC HealthCare as a school therapist!

 

Position Details:

  • In-Person School Therapist - Position is at Confluence Preparatory Academy
  • Work with Students 9th - 12th Grade
  • Year-Round Role
  • Monday – Friday (7:45AM - 4:00PM)
  • Individual counseling services will be provided daily to students
  • Group therapy sessions provided at teacher consultation & presentations to school staff regarding mental health needs
    • If you have Experience in one of the below areas, you could be a good fit:
    • Provisionally – Licensed Professional Counselor, School Counselor, School Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Services or a related field (required)
  • PLPC or LMSW
  • At least 2 years of social work or related experience
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Behavioral Health Therapist (provisionally licensed) works with individuals, families, and groups to address and treat mental & emotional disorders, and to promote optimal mental health.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual, and in some cases, family therapy to active clients.
  • Updates the treatment plan to reflect therapy goals. Collaborates with other professionals regarding client participation level, progress, and setbacks.
  • Completes intakes for individuals requesting services at BJC, assessing their eligibility based on symptomology, treatment history, and current needs.
  • Develops and facilitates education for clients.
  • BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
