Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health Heart and Vascular Institute has an opportunity available for a Physician Assistant to join the team. This individual will serve as the main APP overseeing day to day operations of the HVOU/Cardiac Catheterization lab for the Structural Heart Disease area of Cardiology. They will be an active member of the Structural Heart Team collaborating with the Structural/Interventional APPs and will provide pre and post procedural care to Structural Heart Patients. The APP will serve as the liaison between the Structural Program and patients/families. Triages messages from the patients of Structural Heart Cardiology attendings, including both procedural and non-procedural issues. Must possess the ability to communicate effectively, and educate patients and family members about diagnoses and treatment plans..
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of employment
- National Certification in State of employment or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in the State of employment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
