Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Responsible to perform complex laboratory tests used in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease, and to perform key sectional responsibilities including monitoring the Quality Control Program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science MT (ASCP) MLS (ASCP) or applicable certification plus 2 years job related experience.
NOTE: An individual with an Associate's Degree and who is certified as a MLT (ASCP) and who has 4 years laboratory experience will be considered in circumstances where accreditation guidelines and/or regulations do not conflict. (Ex: ASHI guidelines do not allow us to consider an MLT for a senior technical specialist role in HLA). Applicants trained outside of the United States must provide documentation of equivalency evaluation of their education and training to ensure it is equivalent to CLIA requirements. The equivalency evaluations will be performed by a nationally recognized organization. Ex. National Association Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES), the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. (AICE). The applicant is responsible for paying the cost of the equivalency evaluation.

Good customer service and communication skills required.
PHYS IC AL REQUIREMENTS*:
Able to stand and walk frequently; sit constantly.
Able to lift/carry 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-50 lbs occasionally.
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
