Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Penn State Health Medical Group Nyes Rd – Suite F is seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join the team! Comprised of Family Medicine which includes a Sports Medicine Physician as well as a Pediatrician, the Nyes Rd – Suite F office sees an average of 90 patients per day.
The hired MA will be expected to place patients in the exam room, take vitals, reconcile medications, and complete intake questionnaires. The MA will also conduct Point-of-Care testing, administer vaccines and perform EKGs, practice phlebotomy, and assist with in-house procedures as needed. Clerical duties include completing prior authorizations, form completion, and overseeing the patient e-message pool. Never a dull day as an MA with Suite F!
The desired Medical Assistant will have experience working in a fast-paced office and can multitask. Being a flexible team player is also a plus! This office enjoys hosting several luncheons to celebrate staff for team building and has weekly food trucks, so food enthusiasts will flourish with this office!
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must meet current eligibility to sit for the exam with attainment of certification or registration through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistants within 90-days of employment date or current active status as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through one of the Penn State Health approved agencies for Medical Assistant certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain BLS Certification within 6 months of employment date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- Previous outpatient experience preferred.
