Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking Critical Care Clinical Support Resource Nurse who supports high quality, patient-centered care by offering feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Critical Care Clinical Support Resource Nurse supports multiple units. The Critical Care Clinical Support Resource Nurse provides guidance and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • You will perform rounds on each nursing unit, continuously observing, evaluating and assessing the quality of patient care, and identifying nursing educational needs
  • You will serve as a mentor and direct support for nursing colleagues
  • You will serve as an example of professional nursing practice and promote pride in nursing for the organization, the community, and the health care industry
  • You will provide assistance with performing or troubleshooting specific skills, in addition, you’ll identify most commonly requested skills for purposes of enhancing orientation and education

What Qualifications You Will Need:

  • You must be a graduate of an accredited baccalaureate degree registered nurse program. 
  • You must have a minimum of two years of Nursing Experience in ICU or ER.
  • It is preferred that you have your Masters Degree in Nursing with 1+ year in leadership & Preceptor
  • You should possess your Registered Nurse License to practice as a professional RN in the state of Texas or an Active Multi-State RN Compact License. If you have a Compact License, you will be required to obtain a Texas RN License within 90 days of hire.
  • You should have a current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
  • You should have Excellent Communication skills.
  • Meditech knowledge will be helpful.
