    Job Summary and Qualifications

    Our Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. Cardiac Cath & Electrophysiology Lab RNs manage the nursing care plans for the patients with disorders of the heart and vascular tree including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, dysrhythmias, and peripheral vascular disease. As a Cath Lab / EP RN, you can assume responsibility as a circulator, scrub, or monitor for PCI, STEMI, Diagnostic Caths, Pacemaker and ICD insertions and interventional peripheral vascular cases.     What you will do in this role:

    You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans before, during and after the procedure to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.

    You will create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.

    You will monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels and physical / emotional well-being.

    You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.

    You will provide pre-and post- procedure patient education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.

    What Qualifications You Will Need:

    Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

    Current state nursing license required;

    ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.

    Excellent interpersonal and team skills required. Basic computer knowledge preferred.

    Minimum of one year nursing experience in an ICU or ER setting required. Previous cardiovascular lab experience preferred

    Basic equipment and machine skills preferred

    Research Psychiatric Center is a 95+ bed facility. We offer acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare.
