Description

SUMMARY

Assist Radiologist in Interventional procedures/ operates advanced imaging equipment in areas like the OR/ Endo. Administers ionizing radiation. Operates x-ray equipment and takes diagnostic radiographs. Provides patient services utilizing diagnostic imaging modalities. Practices sterile technique when required. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation protection, anatomy, positioning, medical terminology and radiographic physics.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education: Completion of formal radiologic training from an AMA approved school and meets requirements for registry by ARRT.

Required Licenses/Certifications: Texas Department of Health Certification in Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) or Texas Medical Board (TMB). (MR/ TMB Licensure upon hire, ARRT within 1 year of employment). Must have current BLS for health care provider

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Two years in Radiology preferred. Prior experience in Special Procedures and/ or Operating Room and / or Endoscopy Ability to operate C-Arms and OR/ Endoscopy equipment
