Summary
The Advanced Radiology Technologist administers ionizing radiation. Operates x-ray equipment and takes diagnostic radiographs. Provides patient services utilizing diagnostic imaging modalities. Practices sterile technique when required. Possesses comprehensive knowledge of radiographic techniques, radiation protection, anatomy, positioning, medical terminology and radiographic physics.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Graduate
- Formal Accredited Radiology Technology Program
Required Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic technologist (ARRT) (RT)
- An Additional Registration by the American Registry in (CT) or (M) or (NM) or (MR)
- Texas Medical Board in Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT)
- CPR/BLS required (AHA)
