40Summary:
The Retail Pharmacy Technician Supervisor assists the Retail Pharmacy Manager and/or Pharmacy Director in the management and supervision of all operational activities related to technician staff to develop a strong retail pharmacy team. The Retail Pharmacy Technician Supervisor, in coordination with department leadership, will coordinate all activities related to technicians that maintain and improve workflow, safety and efficiency to ensure quality distributive processes and services. The Retail Pharmacy Technician Supervisor participates in pharmacy leadership, technician education and process improvement committees to implement and improve technician processes and services.
Qualifications:
High school or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelors preferred.
Five years experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or specialty pharmacy, hospital setting is preferred.
Experience in a pharmacy technician lead or supervisory role in a retail pharmacy is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of math, the metric system, chemistry, and medical terminology is essential.
Knowledge of computers and demonstrable skill with applications; including word processing, spreadsheets and database management.
Certification/Licensure:
Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT), Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician License, PTCB Advanced Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
