40Summary:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Nursing for Cardiology collaborates to develop strategies and initiatives supporting Cook Children’s Medical Center's Heart Center. In this role, you will be responsible for:
service line program growth and development
implementation and oversight of safe and quality clinical practice
financial performance of inpatient units, outpatient clinics and off-site regional locations
for creating an environment that promotes high patient satisfaction, staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and quality outcomes
creating a culture that supports the Promise of Cook Children’s.
You will also serve as a community liaison to develop strong relationships with referral providers and centers, community organizations, and patients and their families.
Qualifications
Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Master’s degree in nursing or health care administration or business required
A minimum of five years nursing experience, which include 3 years in senior management.
Healthcare Provider BLS or Friends and Family CPR with AED Education
Membership in professional nursing organizations encouraged.
Advanced certification preferred
