36Summary:
The Emergency Department Child Life Specialist is responsible for providing essential life experiences, family support, & education to patients and families in the health care system. The Child Life Specialist collaborates with other healthcare providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the healthcare experience.
Hours: 7am - 7:30pm three days per week and every other weekend.
$5000 sign-on bonus for qualified applicants
Required Education/Qualifications:
Bachelor's (or) Master's Degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a closely related field.
Completion of a child life internship.
Previous experience working as a Child Life Specialist within Emergency Dept. preferred.
Certified Child Life Specialist (or eligible) within one year of hire.
American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS required within 60 days of hire.
