Mass General Brigham at Tuscan Village, Salem NH The Mass General Brigham Healthcare Center is located in the state-of-the-art building at 30 Tuscan Boulevard in Salem, NH. The center offers a wide range of services to patients as well as outpatient surgery, full services imaging, and blood draw. The Opportunity We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to join our team! The ideal schedule for this position will be 4, 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday from 7:00am-5:30pm. This can be subject to change due to the needs of the practice and the availability of the team. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. In this position, the Medical Assistant will support an Advanced Practice Provider that sees same-day sick appointments for patients of all ages. At our practice, Medical Assistants work 1 to 1 with their assigned Provider, allowing a strong partnership to be formed. We find that this structure enhances communication, improves efficiency, and personalizes patient care, ultimately leading to a better experience for all parties involved. Additional responsibilities may include: · Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office · Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, immunizations, point of care testing, procedures, and treatments as directed) · Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, coordination of care, etc.) · Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas · Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs. Qualifications When hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only the relevant skills and competencies, but also positive attitudes, emotional intelligence, and genuine passion for this work! · Completion of a formal program in Medical Assisting is required · BLS certification required within first 6 months of employment · At least two years of experience as a Medical Assistant preferred · Primary care or urgent care experience preferred · Proficiency with an EHR, Epic experience preferred · Current certification with one of the following organizations preferred: o American Assoc. of Medical Assistants (AAMA) – Credential: CMA o American Medical Technologists (AMT) – Credential: RMA o National Healthcare Association (NHA) – Credential: CCMA o National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) – Credential: NCMA
