The Team We are located on 300 Boylston Street, on Chestnut Hill in Newton, MA. Our team provides a wide range of outpatient care for patients who have a high risk of heart disease. We provide diagnosis, management of acute and chronic conditions, and preventive care. We pride ourselves on having a close-knit, highly collaborative team. The Opportunity We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our practice onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm. Dedicated to clinical support as true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team. While we ideally aim to have our clinical support staff members working 1:1 with an assigned provider, they do cross-cover, rotate, and collaborate with various providers to develop their skills, expose them to different styles, and expand their clinical knowledge. Responsibilities include: - Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office - Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, phlebotomy, and treatments as directed) - Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to panel management (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, coordination of care, etc.) - Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas - Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs Qualifications When hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only the relevant skills and competencies, but also positive attitudes, emotional intelligence, and genuine passion for this work.
