Patient Care Associate - Neurology Unit- Lunder 7 Lunder 7 is seeking a Patient Care Associate (PCA), with Day and Night per-diem coverage, and to provide rotating weekend and holiday coverage. Neurology regularly admits patients with strokes, Head and spinal trauma, as well as general neuromedical and neurosurgical patients. Our nursing staff is highly respected for their clinical expertise and compassionate care for patients with neuro-oncology and epilepsy-monitored needs. What are we looking for? - Assisting the healthcare team, the PCA promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the guidance of an RN. - PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. We welcome applicants with equivalent experience in addition to those with a PCA certification. - Required: Must have recent experience, and/or training, in clinical patient care. - Preferred: Licensed, certified, or enrolled student in a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Mental Health Technician, or EMT accredited program, at the time of hire, OR - Candidate enrolled in a Nursing, Pre-Med, PA undergraduate program, with at least one semester of patient care rotations completed, at time of hire.
