Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Plastic Surgery (formerly Northampton Plastic Surgery) is committed to restoring and enhancing form and function in the least invasive way possible. Our experienced surgeons partner with each patient to advance their health by developing a personalized plan, one that carefully considers health, well-being and lifestyle. Role Overview We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support the practice onsite. We are open from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday, so schedules are staggered accordingly. As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team. Responsibilities include: - Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office - Preparing patient charts - Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed) - Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.) - Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas - Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs. Qualifications When hiring, we look for candidates who possess not only the relevant skills and competencies, but also positive attitudes, emotional intelligence, and genuine passion for this work. - High school diploma or equivalent required - Completion of a formal medical assistant training program required - BLS certification from a program approved by the American Heart Association required - Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA) - Plastic surgery/ambulatory care experience preferred
