Description

We currently have exciting opportunities for RNs to work in our Post Anesthesia Care Units! - The Post Anesthesia Care Units at MGH are comprised of 7 individual critical care areas dedicated to the care of adult and pediatric patients preceding and immediately following surgery and/or procedures requiring anesthesia. - The unit operates 24 hours per day with Anesthesia and Nurse Practitioner medical coverage. - Ideally, we are looking for full-time staff with a schedule of 36 or 39 hours per week; comprised of 12 hour shifts inclusive of a day/night rotation. There are some weekend and holiday requirements as well. We are looking for a dedicated RN’s like you to be a part of our team. - ASN or BSN required, BSN strongly preferred - Massachusetts RN license - Minimum of 2 years acute care nursing experience. - Previous experience in a critical care environment (ED, ICU, PACU) is strongly preferred, but general care experience will be considered as well. - We cannot consider new graduates at this time.

Unit staff are nice for the most part

Cons

The ER boarder is a mess they placed me there when my contract stated med surg unit and was stuck there for 2 months. A lot of the staff and supervisor were rude in the boarder program at MGH a few good staff employees but a nightmare.
