The Respiratory Therapist Supervisor supervises and directs the activities of the Respiratory Care Department under the direction of the Director and the Medical Director. 
Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited AMA Respiratory Care program
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate's degree in respiratory care or health science
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years of respiratory care clinical experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1-year supervisory experience in a respiratory care area or a related clinical area.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current State of Texas License and CRT
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: RRT 
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): 

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
• AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if covering PEDI
• AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if covering NICU
